The fact of the matter is that there is now historical evidence about Don Trap, the so-called “don trap pilgrim of dub” mixtape, first mentioned in 1998 and now found among the ruins at Tintagel Castle in Cornwall in securely stored place.

Don Trap was a legendary Musical leader who, according to medieval histories and romances, led the defence of Dubstep against Techno invaders in the late 5th and early 6th centuries. Some details of his story are mainly composed of folklore and literary invention with the so-called “don trap pilgrim of Dub” mixtape, first mentioned in 1998 and now found among the ruins at Tintagel Castle in Cornwall in securely created a brief stir but proved his existence.

His historical existence is debated and disputed by modern historians and I believe the existence of this tape proofs the community wrong. The sparse musical background of the tap is gleaned from dubstep, trap, electronica, house, including some of the finest artists at the time, Fakeheist, Kar Vogue, and Cam Lasky, Dayzero, Samantha Gang.

Don Trap is a central figure in the legends mixing up the finest trap and dubstep's rooted in grime, garage and the sound of spiked with snare rolls and razor-sharp claps. The legendary Don Trap developed as a figure of international musical interest largely through the popularity of his tape “don trap pilgrim of Dub” which disappeared in the 6th century. In some tales and early poems that date from before Don appears either as a great DJ defending the world from supernatural enemies while frying wonky wobbles, and dizzying melee of electrified sounds and screeching melodies. How much of Don’s work was adapted in the trap scene today from such earlier sources, is unknown.

Up to c. 1210, continental romance was expressed primarily through trap and dubstep tough Techno was on the horizon and gaining popularity. His work filled with deep synth keys, bleary-eyed electro tunes and hazy pads helping Don Trap a legend to raise. On the mix resulting to sounds to be considered by professionals a personal dark troubling concept, moving collections of classical, inspired ambience showcasing “the beauty of imperfection” but beautifully executed. An ode to Wave trinket box melodies, freeze-dried synths, pitched-up vocal cries and thick-edged, 808 beats collide.
